Today’s International Women’s Day Spotlight is Rebecca Strobl, Director of Security Solutions Support Group
Rebecca Strobl first entered the security industry in 2003 as a saleswoman. The idea of protecting people’s livelihoods as well as providing career opportunities to security officers drew her into the industry. From there, she quickly earned a management level role in charge of around 22 sales team members. She worked in this role for over a decade before joining the Security Engineers team in 2019. She said she chose to work with Security Engineers because of the companies established and proven track record. Putting her go-getter attitude on full display, she reached out to CEO Mike Hefner to directly express her interest in helping empowering Security Engineers to thrive. Since then, she has exceeded her sales goal every year that she has worked with the company. Her success culminated in her earning a place in the 2021 President’s Club. At her current role as Director of Security Solutions Support Group she seeks out strategic prospects in who have security or investigative needs and creates a plan with other Security Engineers staff to meet those needs an execute a plan.
When asked what her advice was for those seeking a job in the security industry or with Security Engineers, Strobl said it’s all about being tenacious. “I highly recommend individuals enter the security industry with a career mindset. They should take advantage of all training opportunities their employer offers and become involved in professional security organizations,” she said.
In 2021, Strobl pursued her CPP (Certified Protection Professional) certificate and successfully obtained it in August. She is currently serving her second term as the Great Atlanta ASIS Chapter Chair and is looking forward to their upcoming GSX (Global Security Exchange) conference that will be held this September in Atlanta, Georgia.
As for her future plans, she wants to continue to grow and expand her current role in securing strategic client partnerships for Security Engineers.
In her personal life Strobl enjoys hiking, camping, swimming and traveling. When she was a child, she dreamed of being a medical missionary. Her favorite restaurant is Perotta’s Pizza and her favorite food is a nice Greek salad with grilled chicken. We thank Rebecca for everything she does for Security Engineers and can’t wait to see what new heights she soars too next!
