9/3/2008 - Emergency Response Team (ERT) Activated!

Security Engineers, Inc. has become known for special needs response. We consider our capability “to be available when bad things happen" one of our greatest assets.

Most people run from disaster. At Security Engineers, we consider it our responsibility to “be prepared” for disaster!

Being prepared means advance planning BEFORE the disaster happens! Security Engineers maintains a list of employees who have volunteered for special assignment when needed. These employees know by accepting special assignment, they may be away from home for extended periods of time and be asked to work in difficult circumstances.

During Hurricane Katrina, for example, when SECURITY ENGINEERS was called upon to support clients in south Alabama, Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana; we provided 43 Emergency Response Team members with vehicles and emergency rations enroute 2 days prior to landfall of the storm. More than 20 officers remained in the hardest hit areas such as New Orleans for over six months.

We have learned from experience (Katrina and Ivan) what it takes to be prepared to work in storm ravaged areas for extended periods of time. Our expertise in disaster management and response along with a commitment to our clients’ needs has earned Security Engineers a reputation for “being the company you can depend on during the toughest of times”.
