At the core of Security Engineers is the professional Security Officer who provides the uniformed presence at Client facilities. All Security Officers receive formal training and must pass the Director of Training's written exam to ensure their knowledge of basic security measures and understanding of the client's requirements before they are offered a post assignment.
Day-to-day scheduling and supervision of Security Officers is the primary function of the Operations Department. The 24 hour a day, 7 day a week Dispatch and Field Officer staff are supervised by the Director of Operations to ensure all security posts are consistently staffed by properly uniformed, equipped and trained Security Officers.
Security Officers are selected from a diverse applicant pool which results from an aggressive recruitment program managed by the Human Resource Manager. Prior to receiving a post assignment all information submitted on an application is verified and a complete five-year pre-employment screening is conducted along with a state criminal record search.
Security Engineers' Officers are trained in general physical security; access control (both pedestrian and vehicle); vehicular and walking patrols; courtesy assistance for client's visitors, customers and employees; critical systems checks/monitoring; alarm responses; emergency response and more. Security Engineers' Officers are specially trained to carefully document all duties and services performed for clients and use mandated report forms as well as various patrol recording devices when appropriate.
