It was January 1994, under the management of Donald L. Bottom as President/CEO, that Security Engineers, Inc. was incorporated. Don Bottom’s first objective was to build a unique management team to meet the long-term goals set forth by our board of directors.
Today, more than 20 years later, the original management team continues to oversee accounts and consult with customers. Although the Security Engineers’ team has grown over the years, our senior management remains one of the most tenured and qualified in the industry.
This team’s committed effort has brought about a steady and continued growth. Security Engineers’ first year providing quality service out of the Birmingham Operation Center but now provides the same quality service out of thirteen operational centers across twelve states; Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.
With growth has come recognition and with recognition comes leadership responsibilities, which we gladly accept. We strive to set an example and positively impact the image of the Professional Security Officer. Early in our process, Security Engineers made a decision to control growth to a level that would ensure quality of service was never jeopardized. It remains our firm belief that experienced local management is the best path to maintaining consistent, high-quality service. Therefore, the development of a new operation center is contingent on recruitment and development of a strong, local operation team.
